Keep it simple.
He didn’t get mad when I arrived an hour late for our first date. He just laughed, ordered us drinks, and asked what happened. I told him the truth — I fell asleep. He appreciated the honesty, and we had a great time. That set the tone for our relationship — no bullshit.
But eventually, the bullshit crept in. Not lies, but fear. We stopped being honest with each other, let little issues fester, and became cowards. That’s what killed us, not cheating or losing interest.
The key to a real relationship? Cut the bullshit. Stop pretending, be honest, and don’t add unnecessary baggage. Focus on how you make each other feel and let them have their secrets — but don’t tolerate lies. Avoid pointless fights and over-complicating things like sex.
Remember, if you love someone, cut the shit. Keep it simple, be a good partner, and know when to move on.
